Established in 1972 by Mr. Marcel Yazbeck, YAZCONSULT grew rapidly to become one of Lebanon’s leading law firms. Founding partner Marcel Yazbeck was on a mission of continuity and fairness – he set out to provide quality legal services in an effective and timely manner, while seeking fairness to all and keeping the human and humanity at the center of all his work. At least 50 years later, YAZCONSULT boasts two generations of lawyers loyal to the same mission.

Marcel Yazbeck was first a trainee and then a senior partner at the office of the late president of the Beirut Bar Association, Mr. Roger Chikhani who later became Lebanon’s Minister of Justice. Mr. Yazbeck later became a consultant for the Government of Chafik Al Wazzan and was behind many major laws that are still implemented in Lebanon today.

Developing a highly distinguished style in law practice, Mr. Yazbeck showed that litigation has a lot to do with talent, which he used to spearhead innovative solutions to highly challenging cases and lawsuits. What distinguished Marcel Yazbeck, was that he took on cases that other lawyers dismissed as lost causes or desperate cases and yet he won. He succeeded in building trust in the firm’s ability and credibility in its performance and delivery.

In 1997, Mr. Joseph Marcel Yazbeck joined YAZCONSULT. Holding a Master in Private Law from Université Saint Joseph and the Lebanese University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the American University of Beirut, he began restructuring the firm by capitalizing on its rich history in law and ethics to introduce best in class business approaches and practices, in a synergy combining global experience with long term insight and modern-day awareness. His aim was to transform the firm into a multinational advocacy – and he succeeded. The firm grew its human capital and with confident steps, it spread its wings across the world.

In 2005, YAZCONSULT established its offices in Toulon, France to offer specialized services in Intellectual Property (IP) registration in Europe and worldwide.

In 2010, YAZCONSULT founded its Dubai office to cater to Free Zone companies using the highest international standards at the Business hub of the Middle East. Dubai was the platform to introduce YAZCONSULT to international clients and to explore new markets, correspondent offices, and branches around the world. In 2022, the firm started its operations in Athens, Greece further catering to the entire European market.
